What is a Pediatric Physical Therapist?

Pediatric physical therapists  work with children and their families to assist each child in reaching their maximum potential to function independently and to promote active participation in home, school, and community environments.

What do I need to bring?

We require a parent or caregiver to be present during our one-on-one treatments.  We also recommend that any of the patients' assistive devices be brought to each visit.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the individual. After a thorough assessment, your physical therapist will discuss the treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.

How do I make an appointment?

Please feel free to visit our location page to contact the location that best meets your needs.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No, we are a "direct access" state.  This means you can schedule an appointment with one of our physical therapists that can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. However many health insurers require a doctor's referral before they authorize coverage of fees, while some only require a phone call.  If you have questions, contact our office at (480) 272-6332.

Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, the past medical history, and other factors.  Re-evaluations will be done to assess progress and the physical therapist communicates with the treating physician to help you achieve your therapy goals.

We see and treat patients for a wide range of conditions and diagnoses.  Please visit our Services for an extensive list of conditions and diagnoses we see patients for..

We will check with your health insurance provider to determine if outpatient physical therapy services are covered under your plan.

In order to experience the optimal benefits of physical therapy, it is important to be consistent with your visits.  We offer flexibility of rescheduling same day.  Call the facility in which you go to for all your regular appointments to reschedule your appointments.
